The Habitat was designed, funded and built
by five Girl Scouts from Troop 1442 who were working of their Gold Award!

The Aquatic Turtle Habitat was Blessed on 23 June, 2008
by Father John of St. Francis of Assisi Church in College Station.

There were many friends of the Sanctuary in attendance.

Pictured below are the five girls, Frank and Teresa and Father John.

After the Blessing the turtles were placed into the pond by the girls.

Then it was Father Johns turn.

Then Frank puts one of the Red Ear Sliders in.

Then many of the Sanctuary Friends gets a turn to release a turtle.
